We are seeking an experienced business development professional in our Sacramento headquarters. In this role, you will;

• Provide leadership in acquisition and capture of new business awards for future elements of US Government aerospace and defense missions.
• Manage the marketing program of a product segment for Aerojet, identifying future customer requirements that influence the organization's direction. Communicate with customers; represent the organization on technical conferences and other marketing efforts to promote the company's products, expertise and capabilities. Conduct briefings for internal and external representatives.
• Lead capture teams, managing allocation and integration of department resources to meet objectives. Submit and administer operational budgets and schedules.
• Develop and execute strategic marketing and capture plans. Develop and maintain competitor assessments.
• Recommend and oversee discretionary funded projects that support capture of future business.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate an appropriate engineering discipline, such as mechanical, chemical, or systems engineering.
• 10 years directly related technical experience in aerospace and/or defense is required .
• Requires demonstrated marketing skills, including the ability to plan and coordinate the activities of assigned organization.
• Demonstrated ability to provide technical and administrative leadership to accomplish goals and commitments.
• Requires travel within the U. S. at least 20% of the time.
• Experience with propulsion systems for launch, maneuvering, and separation motors is highly desirable.
• Familiary with NASA highly desirable.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S. Citizenship).
