Overview
A Senior EO/IR Systems Engineer is required to play a lead role in the
development of advanced airborne reconnaissance systems. Must have
extensive experience in architecture design and detailed systems
requirements flow down in multi spectral imaging systems (visible and
IR).
Responsibilities
- System design & development for EO/IR programs
- Detailed requirements flow down to subsystems :- optics, FPA,
electronics, control systems etc.
- Developing detailed test plans including requirements verification and
validation
- Responsible for systems engineering activities from proposal , systems
definition, engineering prototypes through production delivery to
customers
- Mentoring less experienced systems engineers.
Qualifications
- Well versed in EO/IR systems design including optics and detectors
(FPA)
- Previous experience specifying requirements for dual band optical
systems
- A strong mathematical/analytical background
- Experience in optical signal processing
- Skilled in a well structured systems design/development process
(preferably CMMI level 3 or higher)
- Familiar with requirements tracking tools (preferably DOORS)
- Familiar with the use of MATLAB, MODTRAN
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong personal discipline, verbal & written communication,
documentation skills.
- Willing to travel in the U.S. 10% to 15% of the time.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Experience
- Master's degree / PhD in Physics or Optics or Engineering is preferred
- > 15 years experience in relevant industries
- US citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance required
- Some supervision / team leadership of engineering personnel
